Team with a ranger that brings winter and also make sure you bring a weapon with an elemental mod on it. The winter ritual converts all elemental damage to cold damage, so if you are dealing regular physical damage you won't gain the benefit. It's kind of odd because it's opposite the fire ritual (Greater Conflag) converts physical damage to fire damage.
In a couple areas where there are fire imps (or their relation) bring some decent fire resistance, like Dryders Defense, Mantra of Fire, etc. I also believe elementalists have defensive spells for the party (but I'm not sure on that, I don't play an elem). |

Here's the things to look for in a group that imo can make it an easier experience:
Warriors that actually know how to tank. In other words Warriors who can actually heal themselves in the midst of fighting. They do not need to be W/Mo's as warrior skills have some decent self heals. Rangers with Winter, as stated above, with traps and know how to pull groups as well as individual fists near the portals. Elementalist with Ward defenses and the usual spike/nukes. Necros with wells, degens, self-heals, and maybe blood ritual to help buff other teammates energy pool. Mesmers anything that can help interrupt or slow down spell casting. Degens and skills that force the enemy to take dmg when they attack. Very key in helping buff dmg to the foes. The faster a foe goes down the less heals required overall. Monks... competent healing monk ..condition removal can help quite a bit since the foes use alot of conditions, in particular deep wound. Deep wound automatically reduces the health of teammates by 20%. If it's not addressed people go down fast. Rebirth is nice incase of screw ups. The above are just suggestions to help make the quest easy as possible. BUT, nothing beats a PUG that is patient and play as team regardless of skills. You can do it! |

That would be " Ward Against Elements" It adds +24 armour against elemental damage, too all those who stand in ward. Only problem is that if the imps cast metior shower, the ward isn't too big, so you'll have too watch your step. Regards, Ashleigh. |

A good warding ele really helps the mission. Not only Ward Against Elements which was mentioned, but also Ward Against Melee. The two together really make a big impact. If there isn't Winter in the party, then Ward Against Harm is spectacular as well. Even with Winter, Ward Against Harm is helpful.
Also, having your ele bring along Maelstrom will really cripple the damage dealing capabilities of those annoying little Sparks. Since Maelstrom doesn't need any attribute points to do its job effectively, then you don't even need the ele to be spec'd in water. They just need to have it along and have the sense to deal with a little exhaustion. |

I did Hells Precipice twice so far with my Mesmer, the first time with only one other human (also Mesmer) and henchies and the second time alone with all henchies. The second time I also did the bonus.
I will admit it took me about 10 tries to do the second round with only henchies. This is because, like in all other missions, I needed to learn from my mistakes: what not to do, where not to go. In the failed tries, I failed because I did not lure well enough, and had to fight too many at once, or I did not target well enough and did not take out the nasty spell casters quickly enough. But the mission can be done, even with only henchies or part henchies. Good Mesmers in the party are invaluable to have in all of the Ring of Fire missions. I have done these missions again and again (see below) with two Mesmers in the party. The Mesmers take a combination of warrior stoppers and spell interruptors. For example I take Cry of Frustration vs. spells or warrior/ranger skills; power leak against spells; chaos storm against mobs (also steals energy from spell casters and allows area damage over walls). I may also take clumsiness or ineptitude (or both) against warriors and rangers. I may take Migraine or Backfire to help against those extremely fast casting monk bosses. I usually take arcane echo to be able to double up on whatever I need at the moment. The point is, a good Mesmer or two (note the word "good" here, mesmers can suck if they don't know what skills to take) is really helpful to these missions. The Mesmer can stop a good percentage of the nasty spells being cast; they can then move on to greatly reduce the damage being caused by the warriors (ineptitude followed by epidemic can blind a whole flock). After the missions, the game doesn't end, thankfully. At least not for me. I still haven't gotten around to playing any of the post-game "save this" or "defend that" quests because I am having too much fun replaying all the missions from the desert on upwards. I find it very entertaining to help friends out with these missions, or just to join a party and help out, while trying out different combinations of skills. For me, I find this game extremely replayable. |

I did this mission with a four-man party (some reason, Anet split up our 8 man into two groups, and neither got henchmen. The other group failed =P)
Just remember to kill the lich on the middle thingy, he will die the first time then. It was me (ranger), a monk, tank and necro. My suggestion (as always) is to mainly work together. The tank didn't go Leeroy, so I pulled, being the ranger. We basically killed things slowly, and owned the stupid Rurik cus he deserved it. Lich was even easier, except for being teleported, which was fun. |

its not fun for war mo,s you're always on fire. rip your strength level down a few, (to say 8) and put the spare attribs in healing prayers, run mending on yourself all the time (lessons the pain),
also...IWAY works nicely here (since someone always dies and if they do, its crunch time) a nice stance like berserker helps top up adrenaline, dont use frenzy, why do ppl use that crappy stance, u take MORE dmg. just use berserker to fill adrenal skills, then use them. much of a war/mo skills here should be geared towards keeping alive, for this mission most wars should act as a brick wall, stop the titans from hitting ele,s who can cast on them. |

I've beaten the game with 2 characters. I've never had trouble with the last mission. Only with Thunderhead Keep and Abaddon's Mouth.
